Hello!
I’m Laura Blume—artist, designer, thinker of thoughts, maker of things. Even after more than 25 years in corporate communications, restaurant ownership, graphic design, and marketing, my journey as a professional creative is ever-evolving.
My “when I grow up” aspirations began with becoming a physician or astronomer, organic chemistry eluded me while English class and the art studio felt more like home. As a child, I wrote and illustrated books of poetry on construction paper and my mom sewed the pages together. As a teen, ballet, and the cello occupied my creative time. In college and graduate school, I found my bliss in modern dance, writing, drawing, painting… and more writing.
These days, I find myself happiest when not at the computer, rather at the easel getting paint all over myself (and some on the canvas). Down-time finds me reading a Louise Penny mystery, trying to get through an Essentrics exercise video, or watching a dark crime drama on Britbox.
Ultimately, I’m here to create. The seed of an idea is planted. And then it blooms… and shines.
